John Portnoy, PhD, FHR Board member and retired ecologist with Cape Cod Nationaql Seashore, will lead a walk down to the natural salt marsh at the river mouth and then to the diked estuary above Chequessett Neck Road. We will view the ecological effects of over 100 years of tidal restriction and imagine a restored 100-acre salt marsh.
